Without getting too long winded, here goes.
I applaud the decision of Orange County Raceway in mandating the use of the uncut, unprepped Maxxis EL tires. In my opinion it puts the racing back in the driver’s hands and takes it out of the “tire chemists” hands, which is what go kart racing needs. The use of the EL tires has also allowed us to be able to afford for Justin to run 16 more go kart races than last year and the more races he’s able to run, the more fun he has and the more experience he gains. I’m so sold on the use of the EL tire that we’re only running a total of 7 go kart races using any other tire. Simply put, the EL tires and the racing at OCR cannot be beat for the cost and quality of racing it produces.
