Kart tire procedures
Sniffer Procedures
OCR will calibrate our sniffer for 17ppm,Which is approximately 1/2 of the WKA measurement. Therefore if you got by with something at a WKA National, it may not pass at OCR. The bottom line is that we will not allow ANY tire prep PERIOD!!
Our race day procedures are as fallows:
We will check tires before each practice and if a tire fails, then that kart will miss that round of practice —no exceptions! If a tire fails before a heat race, then that kart will miss the heat race—no exceptions! If a tire fails before a main race, then that kart will miss the main race— no exceptions! If a tire fails after a race then that kart will be DQ’d (we will check all karts after a race )
If any Kart has two tires that fails during the days event(practice, heat or main race)it will be DQ’d for the day-no exceptions!
OCR will not check tires for your team to see if they will pass before they are on the kart, in the grid and ready to take the track .
IT’S SIMPLE —NO TIRE PREP!!
